Hi all, i have just arrived at Ruthin - a tiny town in the north east of Wales(UK). I am sitting Ye Old Anchor Inn Pub with a pint already looking forward to the weekend! This weekend will be special as i will take a part in the Buell Adventure Weekend - run by the UK's Buell Academy... as soon as i pulled into the Pub / Hotel i was great by a fine sight!
the guys from the Academy were already busy preparing / fuelling the Uly's for tomorrow. I quickly said "hello" and we chatted for a bit and i checked into my room for the next 3 nights....guess what view I have from my window...
(my 5er touring will be in good company) So far this weekend is off the a great start... I will keep adding to this threads throughout the weekend... On the ride outs I will take my 2x cameras and the veho muvi action cam on the helmet...so we should get some decent footage. That's it for now... Now where is that pint of Tedleys gone - ups I must have drunk it...quick get another one... Happy Greetings Lars |

Screw the Uly! If I was in Wales I'd be on a push bike until my legs gave out. I really hope to make it there before leaving Europe next year. But anyhow, enjoy your weekend! |

right guys. today we had our final day and the weather was kind to us too... we started of with a gently 15mls ride to the first forest track. the track itself was a lot easier than the pass yesterday and no-one hit the deck! We than got further up into the mountains and the view were just stunning
there are only a view nicer spots in Wales to park your Uly...
We than had another tricky section of loose rocks and gravel to go up to a viewing point...check out this short video and you will get the idea! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbST8Z_Aw-Q here is Tim and me coming back down onto tarmac.
we than had lunch and did another great set of little lanes and more off-roading... we all got better and the bikes performed brilliant! here are couple shots of my filthy Uly.
All in all a great weekend. I will write a full report and i have 3 hours of video footage to cut & edit etc... i will upload it all on my own website and post the link here once i am done. in short a great weekend! Thanks to Buell UK, The guys from the Buell Academy - (Tim, Shawn, Matt, Andrew & Steve) for making it such great fun! thats it for now... thx Lars PS: (i am still buzzing!!!) |

English licensplates are enormous... keeps 'm from speeding But Lars, you made a big mistake on your report. You didn't take pictures of your dinner. It's mandatory to take pictures of food. For this time we let you off easy but next time you make a trip... Foodpictures!! Nice pics, you sure had fun! |

Lars, have you done the tracks days before? I did Mallory last year and it was there that I got turned onto the Uly - track, road & dirt - more fun than the 1125 which is what I went to use. I was laughing me head off chasing 1125's around on a Uly - felt daft but was fun. Castle combe this May just confirmed it. Although it was just 1125's on the track. Hence the Uly purchase a couple of months ago. Cuell |

Lars, sounds that you had a great time! Did you had any special setup on the Uly? Like tyres pressure and suspension? I found mine very hard while out Tarmac. |

standard 09 model bikes with all less than 1000mls on the clock. suspension was factory and tyre pressure too.. the bike felt solid on or off road...suspension may be a bit too soft for my weight but no real wobbles etc... i had the pirelly scorps on mine and others had the Dunlops. |
