...the dealer adjusted my clutch to where it engages way out at the end of the lever ROM. Yukky. I like it back by the grip. Why do they have to adjust a perfect clutch. It was in another state so now I have to re-adjust it. Any feedback from anyone? |

Its part of the service to adjust the clutch. |

It should be adjusted so it engages somewhere in between full in and full out. Page 1-25 in the 2006 ULY service manual explains the procedure and has photographs to help out. You have the 2009 ULY so the page is probably different. Buy a service manual for about 60 bucks and do your own maintenance. Would have saved you a bundle and you wouldn't be griping here about it. Though your preference of having the clutch engage where the lever is touching the grip seems a bit odd to me. |

Thanks Electra...you are right about doing my own. I fell for the special things they say they do on the 1K. Going to get the manual. And did not mean at the handle...just more there than the end of the range of motion. I can work through tight stuff off road better if I can keep engagement closer to grip. |

I've never cared for having my clutch set at the HD/Buell specs. I like to have more free play at the lever. When I picked up my Uly it was set within spec, but I couldn't take it. I had to add some slack. |
