I am CONSIDERING a trip the first week of November, from Austin, TX, to Greenwood Village, Colorado(work related). Being a southern dude, it is, of course, difficult to imagine bad weather before Thanksgiving. Is it out of the question to take the Uly at that time, or even my car?

Could be in the 70's one day and snowing the next, or both in the same day. That's fall in CO. Don't even try to predict. Just be ready for whatever happens.
The good thing is, snow that time of year rarely sticks for long, is riding is always an option.

As said above, anythings possible, could be great, but it could be pretty cold or snowy even. Make sure you keep checking the forcast right up till you leave cuz it changes regularly at the last minute.

I wouldn't risk it.
You might not even make it over Raton Pass.
You might hit an antelope between Clayton
and Raton, or get swept off the road by high winds in that region.
You'll end up in a hospital, all broke up.
Your wife will divorce you and then you'll
lose your job, or the other way around!
Mark, don't do it...porfavore!!

I was in the Golden area, two weeks ago, and we had a light dusting of snow. I lasted for most of the morning, (but it was still a sloppy mess). Just remember, "it's that time of year".

In early 90's I was in Denver 2 days before Thanksgiving. Blizzard, 2 feet of snow, couple days later 70 degrees. If you ride, check long range forcast.

Choyashi-

Are you my new guardian angel? I LOVE YOU, MAN!!!

'and we had a light dusting of snow'....

WTF?!

I'm leaning towards flying. Even though I hate airplanes, it would be a lot of money wasted if the weather prevented me from getting there.
