I did a 400km mostly dirt loop today.
I was chased by three farm dogs.

One was laying in wait at the end of his lane and almost got me. Heres the route

I left early just after sunrise

I love when I see these signs, others include "use at own risk", or "no winter maintenance"

The road just ended into a trail although the gps said it connected to the next road.
I gave it a shot but it soon turned to mud and single track (like it always does) and since I was on my own I turned back.

To Bad, because the view from the trail was spectacular

Finally went by Luther march a protected area (with nice trials inside) guys were lined up outside the gate, as it was the first day of some kind of hunting/fishing season

There are some great roads around there. You passed within about 30 minutes of my house.

I love roads that are either posted "not assumed by township" or "no winter maintenance"

Nice to see trips from the other side. Looks to me like a lot of straight roads?

Choyashi, thats 87.9 per litre, more like 4 bucks a gallon.

Galloper, Southern Ontario has a lot of staight roads, you need to go south to Lake Erie or North to get curves

This section through the Beaver Valley
(the top right side of the route is particularly nice)

Ontario is Canada’s second-largest province, covering more than 415,000 square miles

Of course much of that is trees lakes and rocks and is frozen 6 months of the year.

Those dogs just love a Uly. Here's my one-dog day a couple years ago. It's a short video, so make sure to watch for the attack dog at the very end. And yes, I know, I'm crazy to film like this but...

This was a nice farm road in rural Northern VA.

Hooper, manfrotto makes a clamp that will attach any camera with a tripod mount (screw hole in the bottom) to your cross bar. Heck of a lot easier then holding it and only takes a minute to install or remove

But then you wouldn't get the awesome view of my front wheel as it cruised through the gravel...

It's crazy, but I love the varying view of one's own arm. What I think I need is a camera on a stick that will capture the whole bike. Or a chopper.

But how 'bout that dog?
