The Buell Demo Truck is going t be at Gruene HD in New Braunfels, TX today and tomorrow. Going to head that way after lunch today to check out and ride the bikes. I sure hope they have the 2010's, to ride and see. Will report on this later.

Well, what a disappointment ! There were no 2010 models in the Buell Factory Demo fleet. Can you imagine Harley showing up at a dealership 2 months into the new model year w/ last years bikes!! I don't think so. We had 8 riders on my 30 min run, 40/60 HD riders and sport riders...we never got over 60 mph !! I understand safety and all, but how do you test ride a Buell on mostly straight roads and not getting out of 3rd gear. I was ready for the demo-ride to be over 15 mins into the ride. The purpose of a demo ride is to ride the bike for what it was made for....handling, braking. Not CRUISING!
FYI..the XT I tested was hotter than hell ! A missed opportunity in my opinion to show new customers what a fine bike BUELL makes and give current owners a reason to trade up to a new model.

Production of the 2010 1125 models didn't start till just recently, and the fact that there is still a nice supply of 09's available probably had something to do with it. : )
