Does anybody know if the winner of the adventure grant, Carter "Kickastro", is posting or blogging his ride anywhere? I've only seen one post on another board with little response. I would like to see something about the planning and the trip. Hopefully lots of photos too! I know I sounded like a hater earlier, but it was not directed at Carter. I really am glad for him. I just want to see or hear about his trip. X

Thank's for asking. The trip was amazing. I did it with my fiance who is also a photographer. We were not able to update live from the Uly, but we have excellent photos and plan to make a book soon. I hope to have a gallery link up in a couple weeks.

I am absolutely loving the bike, but it is struggling off idle and is backfiring a bit. I had the dealer install the Comfort Kit and ECM flash too?

Cheers

Welcome!! Glad to see you posting here....

WOOOO HOOOOO

I hope you fall in love with that bike!

The Uly is the best bike I have ever owned!

Let her warm up a bit before you ride and it should be good to go.
I start mine as I'm putting on my gear....

welcome to Badweb!

So far it looks like he parked the Uly and spent his time in the Cabin

I'm looking forward to the pics and ride report and congrats on the new bike

Congrats on the bike, I'll be looking forward to seeing more pics...by the way, I think we call that 'character'

As far as the ruff idle and backfiring , mine does the same thing until it has had a chance to warm up. After that it runs wonderfully. Have a great time with the bike and what ever is going on in the cabin. LOL

I'll buy a copy of the book when it's ready.

Santa Barbara's not to far from where I live in Thousand Oaks.

When the rain comes off the added on porch roof it is going to rust the muffler. Welcome to Badweb, dirty rotten winner.

Yes, yes...that's what you call it. It's character.

LOL,that is a nice cabin though. Here is a shot of me on my attempt to get the Uly into some hairy s*%t. It was much steeper than it appears!

Way too high of a stock gearing ratio and the tires were not up to the task either. I have a thumper for this kind of stuff, but I am going to do the XB9 Primary sawp for sure. I am really excited to get this bike dialed in!

Thats the kind of stuff I take mine on all the time. You just have to go fast, pick your line, and don't look at the big rocks.

Congratulations on the bike. Ride it hard.
