I have learned that lower is better. If your using the stock shield go about an inch or less over the top of the stock low shield. If you have the tall (I have the Zero gravity plus 4) I am about flush with the top. The wind blast is totally gone but the noise at the helmet is higher.

Well, here's my take. Wait a minute while I go out and measure...OK, the top of my LL is 3.5 inches above the top of my stock windscreen.

Keeps the wind off my torso and brings it just above the bottom of my helmet. Perfect.

I am 5-9.

I have the stock shield and have mine installed relatively low. I'd guess about 1" or 1.5" above the stock low shield. I find the same thing that Rwcfrank mentions above- wind blast is greatly reduced but noise is increased.

I'm 5'9" too, but I have a long body and short legs (30" inseam).

I moved my lip from as high as I could get it to just about flush with my ZG tall screen. This is the best position I was able to attain with the LL. It is a huge improvement for my 6' frame. Dont forget to upgrade the mounting kit or you may lose your screen and your LL

I just picked my new xp and put 1400 mikes on it. I'm surprised that for me the tall screen is pretty good! No turbulence. No buffeting. I'd like to achieve a quieter ride, but, that's about it. Will a laminar lip help? Currently, I'm getting clean air right about bottom of my helmet.

Thanks for the in put guys, I looked at laminar lip web page, and i'll try it as pictured and see how it works, and i'll go playing until i find the perfect fit for me, any how i love my zero gravity but that is on the other front shield, so i have the chance to play with both, but i just wanted to use it on the lower screen, about the up grade bolts there is no need for it, I found the cheapest answer to that find a couple of circ clips and put them on the inside of the lower mounts should be wide enough to create the needed strength, on the ZG i just drilled the standard mount used flat head screws and auto locking nuts with a decent sized washer never had any issue with that, lets see if i can get hold of a couple of pics.

Thanks again.

Tried 2 positions the high is perfect for the wind on chest an the helmet buffeting is not much difference than usual, a bit lower is quite the same maybe a bit more noisy on the helmet, but it's nice to avoid the wind on
the chest, makes hard riding a bit less tiring.
