I had a rear tire flat. We plugged and got it home. I took off the wheel and found that I had bent the wheel. It is bent slightly and the side wall is still holding. My question is should I replace the wheel with the new bearing set up? I only have 4,000 miles and the bearings now feel pretty good. One other question, when I reassemble how do you adjust the belt? Also how tight do you torque the axle shaft? Thanks for any help |

If you have to replace the wheel, you might as well. It probably won't cost much more. |

And there's no adjustment to the belt, that's what the tensioner pulley is for. Install all, spin the wheel a few rev's each direction to 'center' the belt, ride, and enjoy |

Tighten 25lbft loosen 2 full turns tighten to 50 lb ft and I forgot the torque spec on the pinch bolt. Lots of anti-sieze too. |

I thought all pinch bolts were in-lb specs, not lb-ft... |

What do you anti-sieze? Just the axle shaft? Do I leave the inside of the bearing race so it is friction fit so the inner race does not turn on the shaft? Thanks for the great help. If I order a 2010 rear wheel with 3 bearings what else do I need? Also any ides of the cost? |
