You are a trip, Blake.
Countless others on this thread before and after listed states, but you chose to single me out because I wrote "red state."
And you somehow infer that as bigotry, state that I suck and then cast me with a crowd of unsavory characters.
Really?
All that from "red state?"
Man, it's easy to see where your goat is tied.
And here I thought I was being funny.

Did I write "hate?" No, you did.

You have a mighty big chip on your shoulder, Blake.

Like I wrote in response to another of your wild, recent posts - take a chill pill and go look in the mirror.

Tginner,

You play fast and loose with the truth. In response to the topical question "What States do you actively DISLIKE", you stated, "Any RED state in (sic) america. "

There was no smiley to imply jest. So I take your answer as an honest straight forward one. In that, it is absolutely 100% bigoted. It doesn't surprise me. I see that kind of hate from left wingers all the time. The same folks who are all preachy about tolerance turn into rabid haters when their views are challenged.

I'm just sick of it is all. United we stand, divided we fall. Keep up the dividing if you want to destroy the country, or ditch once and for all the miserable political bigotry and unite for a strong prosperous America.

I can hate on Florida.

It's hot, humid, packed with traffic, littered with illegal aliens, flat, no curves, and an overpriced tourist trap.

I also hate the beach, so being in any state that is surrounded on three sides by the ocean sucks in my book. Hurricanes suck. It rains every freakin day then the sun comes back out and it's like being in a sauna. In the winter, the only time the weather is even remotely tolerable and it's STILL hot most of the time, people wear sweaters and hats when it's 70 degrees outside. WTF!?! Don't forget the HUGE roaches, lizards, alligators, and all manner of insects that eat you alive the minute you venture outside (if you first don't burst into flames or dehydrate).

Then mix in a bunch of snowbirds who have retired down there and drive their huge land yachts around as sub speed limit speeds packing all the local eateries at 4pm to save $10 and you get the picture of why I personally don't like Florida.

There is only one place in Florida I've visited that I liked. JenningsGP race track. But it's just past the Georgia line, so it's not too bad. Cape Kennedy was pretty cool too and I enjoyed the shuttle launch, but again....waiting in line and moving very very slow was the norm. I'm not a patient man.

My favorite state has to be Colorado, but my home here in Tennessee ain't bad either, at least from just East of Nashville east to the state line. We should give West Tennessee to Arkansas.

Blake and Tginnh!

Stop it! You are both taking a tongue and cheek post and turning it into a Left, Right, pissing match! I am from Michigan and diddn't find the post from the Ohio State lover offensive. I thought it was funny because when it comes down to it, this whole post is done in jest! Just trying to keep the peace. Even though I lean to the right

I'm constantly leaning to the right and to the left.

It's that or eventually crash into a ditch.

That works for motorcycles too : )

Having just spent a weekend in and around Chicago, I can say that I would just as soon never ride, drive, or have a layover passing through that area again in my lifetime.

Seriously, you pay so much money for the convenience of 'tollways' and yet the roads themselves and supporting structures are falling apart. Broken and fallen concrete was all around in the tunnels and under the overpasses. Gee, where does all that money go?

It's probably the same black hole where all the Illinois-style 'Stimulus' spending is ending up. Too bad, as everywhere else in the state has provided friendly people and great riding.

I must say, being from southern Illinois, that we really wish Chicago would just go ahead and succeed into Canada, they'd be much happier there!
Great riding? We have 11 curves in 318 miles!!

How can you dislike an entire state???

And because of politics? Those kinds of folks are the people that are tearing apart the country; they truly suck.

shirley you jest blake. and what other reason would there be for leaving a state and not wanting go go back besides work or the weather.

I've never met a state I didn't like! Really! Oh, there are parts of states that are, ugly, flat, dry, overpopulated, congested, smelly, and a lot of other adjectives, but . . .there is something beautiful, wondrous, historic, entertaining, fascinating, etc. etc. etc. about every state, town, city, county, country, continent, planet....

You just need to look with an open mind!

Just posted on another thread about how I like to visit the waterfront in Buffalo, NY.

Great to visit the waterfront but would rather have my tongue stapled to the floor than live there now. – corrupt politicians, inconceivable taxes, urban decay of monumental proportions, ethnic favoritism, crime, unemployment, overeager bureaucrats, really nasty people . . . I do go on.

There are some nice rides into & out of Buffalo tho-

Come on folks, this is all in jest. Near the beginning of this thread I said I thought we ought to blow up Kansas and move Missouri next to Colorado! It's a joke. Hell I have friends in Kansas and they joke about themselves. Welcome to Kansas, please set your watch back fifty years! Everybody knows that when your going from Missouri to Colorado you must cross Kansas, probably the most boring part of I-70 that exist. Lately I've had enough time to take the back roads through Kansas and it's much better but really, 450 miles of Kansas interstate just sucks!
