The other day I was heading to my folks house and went into a turn and hit some sand gravel mix and almost dropped the Uly. Well I pulled out of the slide but in the process I leaned forward and the handlebar kinda whipped back to the right and the right mirror slapped me in the helmet breaking off the end of the mirror. I found a stock replacement but have heard that the
Aprilia Tuono Mirrors are better for limiting vibration. It has been hard trying to find these for under $34 bucks each. Does any one know of a site that has them. I will also check the local Aprilia dealer in my area as well. Any help would be great.

Go to your local dealer. Should be less than $40.00 for both. But, you may have to wait a few weeks for them.

Tuonos are worth the $$$$ I think they should be standard on the non-fairing Buells.

I really can't tell much of a difference on vibration, but the viewing area is works out quite nicely for me.

American Sport Bike sells them.

If you have the part numbers you can try your Aprilia dealer, but you will have to wait a few weeks, and odds are pay the same amount.

I have seen elsewhere in BWB that someone has put the 1125CR mirrors with integral LED turn signals on a Uly with minor wiring issues.

Just a thought.

The BMW GS800 uses the same mirrors.

The CR mirrors are inferior to the Tuonos in my option, but the integrated signals are nice.

I haven't noticed a big reduction in vibration, but they look a lot better and have a better field of view. You can at least see somewhat behind you.

I agree - vibration about the same but view better. They ARE Italian after all. I can see Tuscany disappearing behind me in the right mirror.

This is on a cg but between 3K rpm and 6K rpm, my Tuonos don't vibrate any where near as much as the stock lolipops. I get a clear image of what's behind me.

Below 3K rpm it's about the same only a better field of vision just like the previous posters have said.

I've heard that these KLR650 Mirror Vibration Isolators from Studebaker makes a big difference in the mirrors.

I haven't purchased them yet but I plan on getting them this winter.

The mirrors are great. I know what my shoulders look like, and if I were ever in doubt the stocker Mickey Mouses were kind enough to remind me at every glance.

They bolt right up, and totally give the bike a different front attitude.

The Aprilia mirrors give you a much better rear view. I also have the KLR650 vibration isolators and HVMP bar end weights and still get some vibration. It is at a lower frequency so to see if that's a light bar of car racks on the car following you, I still have to put my thumb on the edge of the mirror to steady it.

I have had Aprilia mirrors and KLR isolators on for past 4,500 miles and love 'em. Better view and a lot less vibration!

What year fits? And how do you pronounce "Tuono" so I don't sound like an idiot when I go to the parts counter.

I think there are part numbers floating around on this website somewhere. If not, pretty much any late gen Tuono mirrors will work.

I pronounce it "Two-o-no"

Aprilia Tuono mirrors:

Part # AP8104921 & AP8104922

I've had mine for a couple of years, and I like them much better than stock.
