I am having issues with my turn signals, they just stopped work. I have checked the fuses, relays and even bought a new switch and still nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is it the turn signals or just the dash indicator? It always seems to be a grounding issue.

There is a potential problem in the steering head wire bundle on the left side where it goes into the clamp below the instrument panel. There are two wire splices that can break inside the heat shrink covering on each individual splice. Both are one wire spliced into three. The red is for power to everything under the flyscreen, the brown is the right turn signal circuit.

In mine, I found the red wire failure that had caused my instrument cluster to continually loose power. While I was in there I fixed the brown splice as a preemptive measure.

There is also a ground clamp post on the front center of the steering head. The wires can break off from their crimped loops.

Like the one on the steering head behind the headlights?

My instrument panel works, it's just the turn signals themselves that do not work. The emergency flashers are inop too. I'll take a closer look at all the wiring under the fly screen.

Tim, I had both of the failures that Etennuly mentioned above but if both the Left and Right indicators have failed I would check the blinker relay ground which is one of those in the group of four at the bottom of the steering head that he also mentioned.

I've had that fail as well - in fact over time I have all four of those break.

Headlight ground.
Blinker relay ground.
Aux pwr socket ground.
Horn ground.

...and there are no emergency flashers on a Buell...at least, not since the S2 and its HD switchgear and signal setup.

Beat me to it, Ratbuell - I wish my 06 had emergency flashers.

Hum...

I'll have to check that out on mine. I also have an '06 Uly and I am having an intermittent issue mostly with my left turn signal. When mine stops working it's not just the indicator. Funny thing, it always starts working again just as I pull it into the garage.
