I'm thinking of buying an Icon Helmet, any one has any experiece with them? or what helmet would you suggest I purchase?

I currently have a Buell ( kbc?) and a Bmw Enduro, so I'm open to any option.

Thank you.

I bought on Icon mainframe earlier this year, and I love it. It fits well, and wind noise is minimal. It did fog up a bit at first, but I just had to open the top vents. Switching shields from tint to clear is super easy.

I bought the tyranny...I like it alot and the scala q2 fits in there pretty nice. Dride is right that they fog, but I put in a Progrip no fog shield liner which solved it..I say it is worth the money...

I have the Domain 2 and bought it when they first came out. I have loved it so far but it is at the end of its life with me. The bottom rubber trim piece is falling off and superglue is not holding. I have had it for 4+ years and it just started to fall apart. Shield changes are easy and color/tint choices are plentiful.

Common complaint with Icon helmets is the visor does not like to stay down when you look over your shoulder to do a lane change. I have had it happen maybe 5 times in the time I have had it and it happened at times I was umm above 80mph. It is annoying and slightly dangerous but so is going that fast and waking up in the morning.

Super easy to clean and the graphics/color opions are some of the best. I like the flat black rubatone but it gets hot in the sun in a hurry. Go try them on I am sure you have a local dealer somewhere close.

I got a Mainframe as my first helmet, liked the graphics but it was extremely hot and jerked my head around at highway speeds. Switched to a Scorpion Exo-700 a couple months laster and was much happier.

I enjoyed my Alliance SS. I have to say my current Arai Corsair is far superior, though.

Hmmm....after seeing their ads for the last few years, and taking a look at the new Icon line courtesy of the Oct issue of Motorcyclist Magazine, I have come to the realization I might not be their demographic target.

Is this for real?

I have the Icon Airframe, $300 US. I like it, doesn't fog up, lots of vents. I use a medium, it puts some pressure on the front of my forehead after long trips. That could be because of my blockhead!!

other than that it just right.

My Icon mainframe was a disappointment. Chin vent ceased to function. Paint (silver) did not hold up to the slightest abrasion, you could scratch it with your fingernail. Icon customer service was not helpful. I finally gave up and bought a Nolan. My 2c
