Blake - what event prompted your searing diatribe?

From what dark recesses of your libido did this outburst emanate?

Do tell...

My diatribe is just fine thank you. Just got back from the doctor and he said so. He didn't probe any of my dark recesses though. Occasional outbursts from there have been known to happen.

I once had to pick up some escargot in my Uly top case - does that qualify ?? (Wasn't for me! - It was my Daughters 30th BD & they were having their hoitytoity friends over - I wasnt invited due to certain annoying / objectionable personal habits / mannerisms) No one will be specific though. How can I be 'complete' unless I become enlightened ? Oh well. Dinner time - gotta get the pork rinds out of the oven. j

Wow! Oddly enough, I could have produced that statement to exactness!

And they say " You just don't get it dad!"

Blake is that an Aggy bike ya got there? Teutonic Knight, I can't touch the ground with a real Uly jacking up my back side.

Sometimes I keep a tie in my hard bags just in case I need to get gussied up.
That's messed up, There is a tie in my right bag. I forgot to take it out after Sunday night.

I was fueling up one day and a guy on a BMW GS pulls up on the other side of the pump. He's giving my Uly the third degree and finally says... "It's sure not a BMW is it". I just looked at him and smiled... "Nope, thats why I bought it".
Talk about an uppity snob.

Yup, I'm using it for the wallpaper on my computer..."A Buell won't make you any friends." And the "Sitting is not a sport" bit makes me want an 1125R. Basically the whole thing just says . Perfect.

Crusty, I'm just quoting what's in the book. You're right, around here it'll make you friends, but the other people I work with who ride all think I'm a freak and so is my Uly.

I think the B.O.B. was written by the same jackasses who decided to market the TT as a Graffiti bike.
Maybe I don't understand Marketing, but I'm pretty sure you can attract new customers without insulting your existing customer base; and without disowning your most trouble free product. I don't recall Honda ever badmouthing the 50 or 90 once they started building Superbikes.

Geez Crusty. Where did you ever see Buell "badmouth" the Blast. I saw the opposite. All they did was explain that it didn't fit the focus of the company is all.

Yeah, the cubing/crushing I can see as off-putting, but geez, it wasn't that big of a deal, was it?

quote:

The Buell® Blast was a cute little motorcycle. It just never made much of a sportbike. But, as luck would have it, it makes a killer ottoman. Or end table. Or art piece. Through an innovative process known as crushing, we’ve turned a limited number of Blasts into colorful metal cubes, each numbered and signed by Erik Buell himself. Hey, there’s no denying the Blast’s aforementioned cuteness. But there’s nothing cute about racing or riding a sportbike the way it was meant to be ridden.

I don't see any bashing either, unless you count "It just never made much of a sportbike".
