I'm about to rotate the engine on my '08 Uly to remove the headers so I can apply heat wrap. I know this isn't entirely necessary but I like to tinker. Has anyone ever rotated the engine forward for this or a top-end job? I have the maintenance manual and it looks pretty straightforward if not time consuming. Any hazards I should be aware of that will sneak up on me?

I've done it several times. Make sure all the "links" are disconnected; wires, etc. If you use a floor jack don't put it too far back (in fact, put it under the front of the engine).

It's not difficult. If you're just messing with the headers you won't need to remove much from the engine, but if/when you do, there's a definite "order" to reassembly. DAMHIK.

Thanks! I'm waiting for my neighbor to test out the new comfort kit. If it's worth it, I'll install that while I'm at it.

I just got the comfort kit yesterday; I'll have it in for the weekend (in the middle of the job when bedtime beckoned last night).

If you have any specific questions about the rotation please PM me (or the like). I'm afraid to say that I've performed the rotation more times than I'd like to admit.
