I agree with Nvr2old and Slimdave, my '08 is running strong and acceleration seems much improved.

I thought I was just that excited to be on it and was running it a bit harder. It seems to have even better response between 4000 and 5500 rpms. Much more than before.

I'm glad someone else was noticing this as I thought it was just my brain helping me justify the investment. The comfort portion was worth that by itself. Performance is unexpected icing.

I can't imagine that not having the fan on at key off is good today when having it on was good yesterday. Really wish Buell would give us engine oil, head temps, and fan on/off on the instrument display. Uly riders are way to sophisticated and inquisitive not to have these sorts of information at our disposal. The 1125 bikes have temps on their display.

I need to get back to working designing our nuclear ventilation systems and stop thinking about this!

Hey, I used to do that in a previous life! Next thing we know you'll be suggesting Buell should put a HEPA filter on the fan exhaust...

I agree. The fan running at shut down was a feature Buell promoted. Their reasoning behind that fan mode made engineering sense.

There seems to be quit a bit of discrepancy discussed regarding fan operation after the flash.

It would be great if Buell could specify the fan operational modes and let us know if there are motor operational parameters changed as well.

My 08 XT is running extremely well at this point. I do not want to have the flash performed only to find a problem when running.

A company that promotes cutting edge technology should understand that we need and appreciate technical information that leads to informed decisions regarding upgrades.

Once again, does anybody have an email address for Buell technical group?
