OK... I did it.
I've finally found an Outrageously priced Buell part. H0300.02A8 Front Brake Pads. $61.40 retail...
My good customer discount at my local dealer... $67.95.
$74.24 after paying rent for all the section 8 people around here.

This is fantastic!!! My self esteem has been lifted. I feel like I have a BMW now.

Weren't these like $25.00 last year?? I don't remember feeling this special last time.

I just brought front stock pads from my HD/Buell dealer with no discount for $47.00. Sounds like your dealer has an error in their computer.

No, sounds like a serious screwing. I'd go and get your money back! Or at least a serious discount...

Your are correct.

I'm going on a two day ride leaving Monday so I was kinda stuck.
I'm having a hard time convincing myself I should support my local dealer when they consistently mark their stuff up above MSRP.

Barker.. based on price, the Buell pads must be twice as good as the EBC's.

Let us know what your dealer says when you discuss this with him/her.

I'd avoid the internet "I have a cousin who'd roommates uncle bought it for half that price" and simply ask your dealer if the price was right and explain.

Who do you think wants you taking your money someplace else LESS than your dealer?

H0300.02A8 comes up on h-dnet with a listed retail price, as noted above, of $61.40.

If your dealer charged you more..you do need to have a talk. NOT an argument...just a talk.

I'll just have to check MSRP online before I go into that shop from now on. That way I can challenge them when they quote higher than retail. If they keep it up I'll let them know why I'll be spending my $$ elsewhere.

Like Andre says, at least they had them in stock so I can go riding tomorrow.

I have found that I like the Lyndall Gold's from one of our sponsors better (Al, who is great to work with)than the stock pads, also cheaper. Some items I get from the dealer and some I get from sponsors of this page.
