probably a silly question but is there anything you miss about the x since you switched? is it still the same ride with the shorter suspension. it's hard to really tell on a test ride ( just kept thinking how nice it was to be on a buell again, a little sensory overload ) i got offered a sweet deal on a 08 xt . for me the lower seat height is nice with my 30' inseam , but the seat height on the x was never much of an issue. and finally if anyone has the link that shows the changes 06-10 can i have it plz, i am having trouble finding it. god i love this website so much great info.

thanks
Dave

I went from an '06 X to an '08 XT. The ride was a little more plush on the X, but the lower seat height more than made up for it. Both are great bikes, but I prefer the XT over the X.

I've ridden them back to back on many occasions. I own an '06 X, and while still an awesome handling bike on pavement (no chicken strips here) it does have a tad more dirtbike "float" to it than the XT does. The XT is razor-sharp on pavement, with the suspensions set identically (same weight range).

The main difference I've noticed is, on the X you get a couple oscillations after a bump. Nothing untoward, nothing that sends you off line...but maybe 2 or 3 small waves after the initial bump. XT? Nope. Bump, settle, done.

I have yet to take an XT off pavement though.

Also...for the record, my 34" inseam could care less what the static seat height is : )
