This happen rarely in my life but my wife and I have a free weekend, to be more specific Saturday afternoon through Sunday, I am planning quick ride up to Roanoke VA about 2 Hour from the house then on Sunday AM Lazy ride through the Blue Ridge Back to NC. Any Ideas on Lodging near Blue Ridge, Roanoke areas

If you continue North on the brp about 30 miles from Roanoke, you could stay at the Peaks of Otter. It is real nice, but may require reservations. Otherwise there are tons of motels in and around Roanoke off of the parkway towards I-81. Have fun.

If you wanted to go a little further south. VIR is having a Superbike event this weekend. Should be pretty cool.

I ride that area all the time. Forget Roanoke though, the city that is, the riding is in the mountains. I'd look for lodging in the town of Floyd. It's just SouthWest of Roanoke and right off the parkway. There are people that rent little cabins that would probably be real nice.

Tuggles Gap Restaurant & Motel just off the parkway on Rt 8 about 6 miles from Floyd.Old 50's motel,great location & great roads.Make sure you ride down the mountain on 8.

Yes on Willville.That is where I stay when I go up that way.Will be up there in 2 weeks for 15 days.Great place & people!

We found lodging around Floyd, Some mountain lodge/cabin overlook, Thanks for the tip about that area.
