Author Message   Slash6 Posted on Monday, August 10, 2009 - 07:52 pm:        Picked up my new 09 Uly today - so far was able to ride it only 65 miles across town from the dealer, well I did go the long way. Lovely bike, very comfortable - even in the 90-95 degree heat did not find the engine heat an issue. Part of the way was under construction and I had to follow a tractor in first gear for about 15 min. Thanks to the group on this board for helping me make my decision. Prior to the Uly I had an 08 KLR I put 15,000 miles on (not enough bike once you load it with gear) and a 1000 V-strom I put 34,000 miles on (very dependable - too vanilla) and a few airhead BMWs - still have 2, they are keepers.   Portero72 Posted on Monday, August 10, 2009 - 08:25 pm:        Welcome to the madness-I see you got the studlier color, bravo! I had the choice of a blue also, but it did not grab me.
