Hello Guys and Gals, I was gettin ready to leave work while engine was heating up, so i drove off normal speed 3k revs, after a few miles i was reving 3,5k and suddenly the oil light turned on and stated blinking while the engine stalled, i pulled of to a side of the road tried to fire it up ,it didnt fire up, so i turned off waited 30 seconds turned on again, and no oil light on, working fine till home, i did with the ecm spy an the palm and error code check, nothing appeared, i checked the oil level and it was correct. First time it has ever happened. Havent done any tps or afv settings for a long time, and all seemed to be fine. Any ideas?any thing i should check? Thanks, Miguel |

First check battery connections for tightness and ground wires. Second, might be fuel pump wire insulation wearing off. My '06 would completely shut off, then refire just fine. It did this for about 5,000 mile then died completely. Wires can be spliced and wrapped, or what I did, is to buy an updated fuel pump assembly. Updated pump has the wires protected in a shroud. I'm sure others will have more suggestions. |

Bank angle sensor can do that without throwing a code. Have you had the BAS relocation recall done? They moved it from in front of the battery to behind the seat latch at the back. |

My 08 has had that recurring issue for 5k miles now , IAC and Interactive Exhaust Valve have both been replaced and it is still occurring. Happened in a pass this week and has moved beyond an occasional irritation. I can usually cycle the kill switch and it keeps going. Going in tomorrow again - I would be a little less irritated if it was in the dealership in the winter not during good riding weather. I am going to go down the list with the BAS, battery contact etc with them. Either that or they can trade me for a new '10 |

Nwf, That is how my '06 acted when the BAS was the problem. |

My '07 did the same thing, especially on long trips. After doing it 3 times in 2 miles through Atlanta rush hour traffic, I thought that I might not make it home, but it only did it a few more times in 600 miles. I ordered a new BAS to have if the original (mounted in the tail) BAS ever quit completely. It stopped acting up after I had a spare. For over a year. Until last month. On that trip I was dealing with both skip spark, and what appeared to be the BAS BS, with it cutting out at least 1/2 dozen times in 550 miles. I changed it out when I got home. I would have done it on the road, but realized you need a 5/32 and 3/32 allen wrench to do it. I really haven't had a chance to see if that did the trick for sure or not, what with battling my skip spark issues, but it hasn't cut out completely since. For me, it usually happened at highway speeds, but not always. |
