S/R pegs will NOT fit on a Uly. The Uly pegs will fit on an S/R but will be too narrow without shims/washers to take up the slack.

Besides the drop, why would you want them?

I didnt think they would drop. I just liked the idea of a wider peg.

The Uly peg is lower than the S peg.

The wider peg would be nice, but they SUCK from a traction standpoint. I had to Dremmel mine to give them some grip.

They are as slick as hell when wet.

Get a set of black Uly pegs, no grip issues.

Uly pegs are effing awesome and are a nice upgrade for the XB.

That's funny, since I want R pegs on the Ulybolt. I'm having peg dragging issues.

Of COURSE they don't fit...

So I had to model some up to fit properly. Just haven't gotten around to machining them up.

Ive read that the 1125R pegs will bolt up no mods, I just haven't gotten my hands on any to confirm/deny.

Ft_bstrd- remember that the 09/10 Uly pegs are different and seem to be much grippier. Of course they cost a lot more too (~$80/pair vs. ~$40/pair IIRC).

They are not THAT much grippier. It's a coating. It'll wear off.

The actual tread pattern is exactly the same. They have just been dipped.

Can't tell you how many times I've had my feet slip off the pegs on the Uly.

Steve, I wanted to do the same. Mostly because I wanted the ability to get off the bike more. The additional 1.5 inches would have come in handy.

What engineer decided that they Uly needed to have UNIQUE pegs compared to the rest of the line is beyond me.

Bonehead comes to mind.

Ft it is more than a coating, the surface is different, it has small points facing in towards the bike, it holds the boot better than the flat surface on the silver pegs.

Don't know about the other XB's, but a guy at my local dealer put Uly pegs on his 1125R with no fabrication that I'm aware of. It's now quite a comfy crotch-rocket.

Yup, Uly pegs will fit on other XBs, and 1125s, but not vise-versa. The interface for the Uly pegs is thinner.

It was explained to me that Buell didn't want people putting the much weaker XB footpegs on a bike that could be potentially used off road.

Ft_bstrd- Froggy's right; it's not exactly the same. I went down to the dealer, took photos, and actually felt the new footpeg surface when they first got an 09 and compared them to my 07. The "nubs" on the top of the footpeg have sharper edges and their height is very slightly tapered so that they are higher on the end towards the bike (a subtle "sawtooth" pattern), which tends to keep your foot from slipping outwards.

Granted these are subtle differences, and they're nothing like some of the really gnarly off-road pegs, but there is more there than the anti-slip coating. IIRC a couple of people have posted that they work significantly better.

FB... are you SURE the uly pegs drop further then the XB S pegs? I tried to look at two side by side in a dealer, and could not see a "drop" difference. Just the width. Rumor has it older Uly's had lower pegs though... I've been watching to try and get confirmation.

I'd love a little lower peg and would be happy to give up a little lean angle to get it.

I'd keep the stock pegs for track days, that's the only time I've ever been able to drag a feeler on the 9sx while using proper form...
