Court, get in touch with me next time instead of Dell, I got the inside lines, I don't deal with anyone to get replacement parts. |

I'm not a big Dell fan either. I've gotten rid of nearly all the Dells at work with machines I spec. and assemble myself. For a PC that's the only way to go IMO. If a part fails I order one up from NewEgg.com and then run the warranty on the failed part (if it's still under warranty) and put it on the shelf for the next failure.
The upside for me is that the machine I'm using at home right now is partly made up of last gen. spec. parts from my repair pile. One of the percs of my job... |

Just heard from the dealer, who has heard from Buell. As Court predicted the factory will not cover warranty repair of my 08 Uly with the 2010 wheel and bearings. The dealer will order the 2008 parts for the repair (new swing arm, axle, bearings, etc...) and I will order the 2010 parts. Then we will install the 2010 parts, and I'll have a all the new 2008 parts to sell. So if anyone is interested in a new 08 wheel, bearings, axle let me know.
I suppose there is still a chance that the 2010 parts won't fit to the 2008 swing arm, but I am willing to take that chance. I understand there is a 20% restocking fee if the parts would be sent back to Buell. |

Cpilot- sounds like you worked out a good solution. I think you'll be OK with the swingarm because Court has a new wheel & parts on order and he didn't mention anything about a new swingarm. |

It'll fit fine.
That's my plan too . . . on with the 2010 which ain't THAT much, sell the 2008 and poof. . . .peace and mind at a comfy price.
