Riding I now hear a strange noise..strange to me..08 ULY,XT, stock "long" windshield, Up until now, I only heard wind noise, nothing more..and always wondered where you guys get to hear fan, pinging of motor, all the stuff that is reported here. Don't get it. Well I do now..
Enter Palmer Products..I am not mechanically inclined..some say I am an artist, could be, but sure as hell should not be allowed tools..can do lots of damage with tools. A so called twenty minute job can take two hours..go figure. Pictures make not much sense to me..specially when they are not exactly what I have. Palmer Products live up to their billing however, product arrived from Britain to Canada in bout a week, as advertised. Installed windshield bracket..actually installed it about four times before I got it right..my fault not Palmer Products..I am challenged when it comes to this stuff..So, got the bracket on right finally, and went for a ride..What the hell is that sound...oh, my gawd...it is the motor..hey, the buell sounds great does'nt it, but the most disconcerting..the much discussed FAN..Why does it have to run so much..holy..there is a fan..what a racket..
Palmer Products windshield bracket is awesome, as is the service..Next I will buy the barends..so,when I wreck, I will be more likely to save the levers..
Thanks Palmer Products..

Needed this post to come alive again..hoping Strada will see it..I do like his bracket for sure..guess I sort of blew it on the title of post..figured it would get attention..wrongooo..

I'm getting the brackets next.Sounds like they quiet the wind noise.
Living in Canada you might like the handguard extensions too.
Cold here in MN most of the time.
