Anyone tried a helmet light for night riding in rural/off pavement areas? I'm thinking about this one http://www.cyclopsmotorsports.com/productsLights.h tml specifically the sol-hid Cyclops Solstice. I had a helmet light plus a light on my mountain bike when I was into that and it was great to see where you looked at night. I have done the headlight mod to my Uly that puts both lights on when on high beam. The results are great. I always like more light at night. Lots of deer around here.
1900 lumens.. that's pretty impressive! Definitely off-road only but I don't see how you could go wrong with something like that. I like the Motorcycle powered option too. I have a helmet light I use for off-road bicycling and as you know they are fantastic.
The Cyclops is great in the forest on dirt bikes, they light up the trails like daylight. Don't know if you would really want one on the paved roads but the back country roads with little on coming a Cyclops should light up any deer on the side of the road.
