Went for a ride last weekend with fellow Badwebbers Growl and Mike_Dinger. The destination was a spot up in the Sierras called Tell's Creek, where there is the wreckage of a B-17 that crashed back in 1941. We didn't find the plane, but sure was a nice ride. Besides, that gives us an excuse to go back again.

Three Uly's - Mine on the left, Growl aka Jon in the middle, Mike Dinger on the right

Uncle Tom's Cabin - A little beer joint on a dirt road out in the middle of the woods and near the entrance to the Rubicon Trail.

Hey garyz28, How much of that road is dirt? Is Wentworth Springs road paved or dirt? Sounds like a ride I must do.

Looks like all of the NorCal Uly-ants are crawling out of the woodwork.

Let's get a ride planned when it's not 103 degrees out!

Thanks for posting up the pics Gary!

Nothing Crusty!

I was listening to Phil Ochs when I read the post and was having an attempt at Che humor.

Wentworth Springs Rd. was unpaved until about 4 years ago. Now it's a highway custom made for sport bikes. The Bartender at Uncle Tom's says There are fatalities every weekend throughout summer.

Wentworth Springs starts in Georgetown, which is about 50 miles east of Sacramento in the Sierra foothills. From Hwy 80 you head south on 49 in Auburn, cross the American river canyon, then left on 193 in the town of Cool.

Thanks for the GPS coordinates.

Two out of the three of us have beards. What's your point?

Frank Skinner got the plastics off my Uly when I changed it from "orange" to black, but that ugly seat is still in my garage if any of y'all need a spare.
