Noticed today that my bright bulb burned out. In the process of replacing it, I noticed the low beam reflector is damaged, looks like melting.

I had heard of this on Firebolts, but not on Uly's.

What's real strange is I never run the low beam except when first starting the bike. I immediately switch to hi beam, I never ride at night.

Anyone else have this failure?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes mine were partly melted, I bought a new headlamp assembly at about 30k miles.

What bulbs are you running?

My low beam reflector is melting, I used a Xenon bulb for a while but it didn't last long and I've just got a standard bulb in there now.

I'm not too concerned about it as I have extra lighting and it'll be a good excuse to graft on a weird and wonderful alternative headlight for extra ratbike cool points.
