First off I should admit that I was trying to do this job with only one opposable thumb- I had hand surgery a few weeks ago and I am wearing a cast on the right hand/thumb...

While I was pressing the sprocket out the assembly fell to the floor and two of the magnets broke loose. : (

Does anybody have any idea if these can be glued back in? Probably not. I wonder how bad $$$$ this is gonna hurt? : (

('06 part number) 32494-04 Sprocket Assembly $134.55

That includes the 38T triple row sprocket

Funny they have the sprocket listed speperartly but not the other part with the magnets.

Yep... $135 bucks

I just ordered it. I also ordered a new clutch pack and the tool for pulling it- I got the Drag Specialties Kevlar. Anybody out there tried them in a Uly??

While I'm in there I may as well get it all done.

I know what you mean, I did the XB9 swap and a few months later the stator went out!! Here we go again! At least it went much quicker the second time around!

Tootal- Did you have the 77 connector fix done when your stator went out?

What oil did you run in the primary?

Curious about this because I switched to Bel Ray Gear Saver in my other bikes and it has been well worth the extra expense; shifts are silky smooth and the magnets have very few particles on them compared to the oil I was using (Rotella).

I originally blew out my headlights because of 17 volts so I changed the VR and at that time I changed the 77 connector because the new VR already came with the new style and they give you a kit to change the bike wiring. I then blew out the next set of headlights and found 18 volts, at which time I checked the stator and found it grounded which was frying the VR's. I then replaced everything and all is well, I even added a voltage gauge to the dash just to keep an eye on it.
I run AMSOIL in all the holes but there are several good lubricants out there, my racing partner just happens to be an AMSOIL dealer.

I've mentioned a few times that BelRay Gearsaver is what I use in the primary of my ULY. The local dealer puts in the Harleys and swears by it. I only pay around 6 bucks for a quart.
