Author Message   Glenn Posted on Thursday, June 11, 2009 - 06:32 am:        I noticed that the upper part of my clutch cable bellows boot has a number of burnt through convolutions. It looks like it hit the exhaust header at some time. Can someone tell me what the part number is please so I can order one? If your bike is still under warranty and the wire form is broken or broken off then get your dealer to replace the cable and sub the new style clutch cable guide, on warranty. The boot I don't think is available separately, at least not in my parts guide. I think I'm going to fill the boot with silicone grease and zip tie it at the bottom to keep out the water. The tape looks like a good option too. Thanks guys!   Teeps Posted on Monday, June 15, 2009 - 10:34 am:        I would not seal the bottom of the boot. Because if water does get in the cable it could end up in the transmission. If the number is unchanged (same part, just updated details), they put an Alpha at the end. New update, next alpha.
