I had an old pair of riding boots which I like so much I decided to resole. Following the advice of a Badwebber who posted pictures of disco boots as a solution to the tallness of the bike and another who suggested having a shoe repair shop add some lift... I did! 3/8" lift plus some thick grippy Vibram soles has raise my boots about 5/8"... not a lot it may seem but enough for me to flat foot it now, plus the knobs really give a secure feeling when footsying the bike around (with a passenger aboard) on loose ground. I had always used non-knobby boots for biking until now, but in this case... knobs are better.

Nice! I like to wear my Redwing loggers, especially when 2up, on the Uly. It does take a bit more effort to shift you feet around on the pegs, but I do not ride as aggressive with the wife on back anyways.
