Question: Just got a set of these plug wires - hopefully they are worth the $. We'll see. Anyway - instructions say NOT to use silicone grease on boots. Perhaps they have some magical properties that prevent sticking to plugs? Anyone have experience with these wires pro or con ? Thanks, j | ||

If you use grease on the boots it will be extra hard to snap the cap on the plug. You will probably need a set of spark plug wire pliers either way. | ||

I was thinking replacing my stock wires with these also. Any input from people who have run them for a while as to whether they are a good product or not. Where is a good place to get them and part #?? TIA Frank | ||

I have some. I really don't notice a difference to tell you the truth. They do give you a cool sticker with the wires. I had no problem installing them. I packed some dielectric grease in there to keep water out. So far, so good. | ||

Thanks everyone for the info. I need to replace my stock wires so I figure I'll go with the magnecors. Like with the "fad" spark plugs out there I guess I won't be getting that 10 hp bump...HAHA. | ||

WHAT ??? I was told I'd get a 50% HP increase! Can't believe they would be less that truthful here. Where's the trust ?? I was actually just looking for a more water resistant high quality wire that will retain it's spark conducting properties longer. I'd be happy with that. Anyone had a BAD experience with these ? | ||

Two years ago on my way to Myrtle Beach I got caught in a down pour. Uly ran so bad I thought I was going to end up pushing it from Charleston to MB!! | ||

I bought a custom set of these since I raised my coil up to make more room for the idle cable. The stock wire for the front was an inch too short so I custom ordered a one inch longer wire for the front. They went on well and seem very well made, much more flexible. As mentioned, no increase in power according to the keester meter anyway. After installing them I believe they are longer than stock wires and I think they both would have reached the coil without custom ordering the longer one. Now I know. |
