Sorry if this is a repost. But could one of you direct me to a site that allows one to look at the parts diagrams of our Buells? I would like to order parts online and would like to have the P/N's on hand to do so. Perhaps one of our sponsors has this service? Thanks for the help! David |

What model Buell do you own? I have an 07 Uly manual I'd share. Cheers, Will |

I have an '06 Uly. I want to do this via Internet and then place order for the parts. I've done some searching on our sponsor sites as well as Google searches of dealers. It seems no one has an online parts look up. I can easily do this parts look up online for my Honda's and KTM's. Surely there is a Buell site on line for parts. Thanks again for any help! David |

Board sponsor Latus has a good online site that will let you search http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/Buell-1853.ht ml You need the parts book to get the diagrams. 99575-06Y is the part number for it. |

David: There are no on-line Buell parts manuals. I presume you are thinking of something like the www.buykawasaki.com where you used to be able to enter the year and model, page through the manual and click on the parts as you filled a shopping cart, click on "send order to dealer" and get the stuff in the mail. Buell actually pioneered such a system in 1997, along with a "Build your own" intenet application and a "check dealer inventory" and a "schedule service" application years ahead of anyone. Unfortunately when one of the fellows at Harley-Davidson saw this he went ballistic (even though they'd spent a couple hundred thou to fund it) and the logic was "if Buell has it, it will make us look like we are behind the times". Shame. Buell was the FIRST manufacturer of ANY wheeled vehicle (that includes cars and little red wagons) to have a www site and has come up with some amazing things that never saw the light of day. But wait . . . there is hope. Buell does have EXCELLENT parts manuals. Your best bet would be to order the parts manual and, using the numbers there, order parts through a dealer. Many Badweb sponsors are becoming quite fluent at this. Court |

And if you get stuck, we have an online parts request form; all results come simultaneously to my desk and to our parts dept. All I need is year, model, part description (or even location sometimes), and you'll get an email back with a PN, price, and availability We have a sponsor page here, or you can check our website at www.buelloffrederick.com. |

David: While it is true that Lake Shore HD does have a useful parts locator online, I'd at least plead my case that you consider dealing with a Badweb sponsor. My reasons are as follows:
- Lakeshore does offer a 20% discount
- One of the ways they do this is as a result of offering than and nothing more. Not a bad thing, just a fact.
- Most Badweb sponsors offer either a 10% or 15% discount.
- I've owner many brands of bikes. Just sold my BMW, Yamaha and Kawasaki. I've owned 9 Buells since 1989.
- Badweb sponsorship conveys a level of commitment, responsibility to the Buell community and accountability.
- This, and I realize you can't be aware of it at this early point, had proven to more than offset the 5% in my experience.
Again . . . The freedom to choose lies with you, just sharing what I have personally observed riding Buell in 44 states over the last 20+ years. Court Incidentally . . you will, if you have not already, run onto a firm called American Sport Bike. They are not a Buell dealer but an independent small Husband, wife, family and dog run operation. The owner is an accomplished Engineer who left a high powered job with his much smarter wife to run the firm. If you want to see just how well a business can be run, pick up the phone some day and call them. Think of the most difficult, challenging and technical question you can . . . . then sit back and prepare to be impressed. I don't think they give any discounts at all and each and every time I've bought from them I always feel like I just won the Buell lottery. I, as an entrepreneur and business owner, like that feeling. |

Court, Again thank you for your in depth info on Buell parts look up. I will get a parts manual and support our sponsors. American SportBike sounds like a winner...I will look at their site as well. Thanks! David |
