Hello Guys and Gals,

I currently use a zero gravity wind shield, as i have a the short wind screen spare, i'm planning on getting a laminar lip to use on the short screen i'd like to know how it works with you, and if it's worth the money , as my idea is to use the zero gravity on small rides and on longer ones the laminar if it really works taking of the wind.

Thank you.

I've tried them on several different bikes I've owned, they've worked well for me (with the exception of the install on a cruiser...). Your mileage - depending on your height, the windshield height, and windshield shape - may vary.

If you get one, I'd recommend experimenting with the mounting position a bit to see what works best.

I have the Laminar Lip on my standard short screen. It's fitted as high as it will go. I'm 6'2" with a 33" inseam and it works well for me

I have the Laminar Lip on a standard short screen. It's fitted slightly low. I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam. I get some turbulence around my helmet but a noticeable decrease in wind pressure on my upper body.

I have my Laminar Lip installed on my ZG screen. Works AMAZING on the highway. Then once I get where I'm going, I just pull it off.

Two Things:

1. You NEED the lower "tall windshield recall" kit. The bolts will prevent the shield from backing out.

2. Also you'll need a bumper between the fairing and the ZG screen in the center up high. This will prevent the screen from flexing back.

I used this set up for a 9 hour highway ride last year and it was great. I put a strip of the interlock velcro on so I could adjust to my liking. I love it that way. Works really well. I'm 6' even and I can get it to take all the wind off my body, yet still have clean air my helmet for cooling.

Once I'll clean up the bike this weekend, I might get some pics.

Well, I'll be darned. I do have pics...(They just don't show the lower "recall" bolts. But trust me...you need them.

I'm chiming in late here, but count me in as another devotee of the Laminar Lip. Blocks the wind where it counts and still feels like a real roadster.

ditto here. The lip on the standard screen works great for my little over 6' height.

The handguards are Cycra Probend's. They prevent the levers from breaking when the bike happens to nap when exploring off road...and on for that matter.

The fit is great, I did have to use some 1/2" spacers to clear the radial master cylinder. No vibration, I can still ride the bike for hours on end without any numbness in my hands.

Thanks to all, about the pinch bolts i just drilled them and used a flat top screw and a luck nut just painted them black and for sure they will never move, so i'll soon be purchasing the smoked laminar lip and will give my feelings about it. when i have the chance to try it out.

Thanks,

Miguel

If you have the tall screen like a Zero Gravity and ride over 100mph be sure to BOLT the screen inplace. Mine flew off and bonked me in the face at around 105mph.
I went back to find it but the 22 fwy at rush hour in Southern California is a dangerous place.
