This is most likely a nit, but since it cost me a little sweat and time I will toss it out there.

I have mounted and balanced two Dunlops and two Pirelli Scorpion Syncs on the Uly. Both Dunlops balance well under Buell's max spec. The one Sync rear was just under spec (2g), but the last Sync front was over the 1g spec. That is where the sweat comes into play. I broke the bead and spun the tire on the wheel a little to get the balance weight under 1g.

I also notice that the Dunlops seem to have a more consistent tire casing. I spoon the tires on by hand. This gives me plenty of time to watch the tires stretch over the wheel.

And one more nit while I am at it, Buell's '07 manual on page 2-16 clearly shows a front wheel with at least 0.5 grams of balance weight beyond max spec and on the wrong side of the wheel. Erik must have had some rookie summer intern engineer working in the shop that day.
