Not sure, I think it still has the same tank of gas from when he bought it. He rode to work once with it (02 ZX12R), and as he was leaving I joking said "Take a good look, thats the last time you will see it". I think he has put only 100 miles on it since. Of course I egg him on and tease with my photos of my journeys each weekend. |

The exhaust valve servo went belly-up on my Uly this past weekend. Only 2K miles on mine. No significant effect to ride quality, though having the engine lamp on constantly is annoying. I'll get it down to the shop sometime this month. |

Mine went bad so I just wired it open. When they go bad, the valve stays in the closed position. . |

"You should of bought a Honda. Or even better, a Kawasaki, one of my co-workers hasn't change the oil in his in 2 years!" This passed weekend I was getting together with a friend for a ride and he rode his ST1100 with 60K plus trouble free miles because his Uly started running on on cylinder in the rain. |

I seem to remember a method of checking the servo motor operation, something like turning the engine kill switch off, turning on the ignition and then turning the kill switch on and then the servo motor should go through it's range??? Is this correct??? Yes, I know you can use the diagnostic in ECM Spy to check. By the way, what is the fault code for a non-functioning servo??? |

Sprintex, most like an ignition wire. Mine did that constantly in the rain on the way to Badness in 08. Changed the plug wires and it cleared right up! |

One of the ironic cool factors of owning a Uly.....it will really be as good at 80,000 miles as it was when it was new! The list of problems seem to be getting smaller as it gets more miles on it. Mine is at 37,000 miles now. It is still getting better. |

Thanks for the link, Longdog. I can hear my servo making a little buzz, kind of like a tattoo needle. I'll pop off the airbox skin and try the test this evening. |
