So far I have been happy with it. No issues to report, bike still handles good, they balanced fine. I will be putting them to the ultimate test once they get worn down, I just need to find a few rusty nails first |

It sounds like Rhino Tire is a great program, adding a big sense of safety and security. But at $60 - $80 per tire more... Wow! That's spendy! |

Its only money, and it frees up room in my bag for more important things. When you are spending over $300 on tires, whats another $100? (Assuming the thing actually works and won't leave me stranded with a flat and no way to plug it) |

Froggy, Do you think (if needed) you could still plug those treated tires? And it's more like an additional $150 per set of tires. But... they are supposed to last longer and get better mileage! I'll consider them when needed. |

Yea I don't see why a plug wouldn't work, but the goop in it is thick, you would need a long nail to get to the point in the tire where the air is. I got a pair of Diablo Strada tires, I never had them before so I am not sure how it affects the handling or tire life, but so far no complaints. 120/70ZR-17, POSITION: FRONT 168.95 180/55ZR-17, POSITION: REAR 208.95 vs from the dealer: G0150A.1AM Diablo Strada 120/70ZR17 - 17” Front $162.95 G0350A.1AM Diablo Strada 180/55ZR17 - 17” Rear $208.95 Some powersports shops can get them a little cheaper if you went that route. I ended up having Rhinotire ship them directly to my door. |

Bculy, I used to work in a tire shop back in my high school days. Back then, Uniroyal made the same type of tire called "Royal Seal". They work pretty well. You really dont need to plug them if its punctured by a nail, screw, or anything small like that. I would just leave it in there. A big gash is another story. But any tire would be toasted with a big, gaping hole in it anyway. |
