I figured you all would be the most knowledgeable of the bunch on this subject...

I'm starting to look for a donor frame/bike for a Sport Touring bike...

I'd like to use the longer frame the ULY and SS share? Or used to the first year?

I know the TT and XT have the triple-offset which brought in the trail in...

Does any one have a break down of what years had what "Rake & Trail"

Thanks...
Ted.

AFAIK, the Uly, Ss, and TT frames are the same for all years (06-09). The 08 and 09 X have offset triple clamps and offset lower fork legs to allow more turning swing for the forks. My suspicion is that any differences in rake and trail between the models is due to differences in ride height, fork length, etc.

You can get the rake and trail specs for the 08 and 09 models at Buell.com.

Hey Froggy, why don't you get a job with Buell ? You could establish (probably alreay done) an archive/museum and see to the day to day running of said museum.

I don't know if that would be a blessing or a curse, I bet they have a "Do not post on Badweb" clause in the contracts. There would be a 60000% increase in Annony postings shortly there after : )

So does Buell list trail or mechanical trail?
