I just installed a new set of Palmer brackets w/knobs and braces, since I'm running a Parabellum windshield.

Now I have an extra set of Palmer brackets. These are his earlier set of brackets. No knobs, but allen bolts. I spray painted them wrinkle black, have all the bolts, washers, nuts, etc.

I think $45 including shipping is a fair price. first email gets them.

Hey Bob,

What bike did you have them on? I am here in the Aurora area. I have an Xb12XT. Will they work? I am interested.

Mike

Bob - I use the palmer brackets (old style) with my Parabellum cut down to 16". Haven't noticed the need for braces even @ triple digits. (only a very occasional occurance) Other than the ease of changing screen position - any other advantage to the MKII version of the brackets ? j

John,
As you mentioned, knobs are nice for changing positions. Other small advantage is on the old version, you are limited to three positions, on the new version you can slide the brackets along a 3+inch track.

Small improvements. I won't get rid of your old ones if you don't think the braces are worth it. I guess I'm still a little paranoid from my Cee Baileys splitting in two and almost taking my head off.

Thanks for the response Bob - I like the knobs. Thought of just retrofitting knobs to existing bolts & possibly cutting slots where the holes are. Would need a pretty tough tool to get thru the SS bracket. Yeah - a screen coming off 'at speed' would be highly undesirable !! j

I had my stock short windscreen fly off at 130, that was fun. This was way before Strada even existed.
