I did the headlight mod(running both lights on High beam),the week I bought my bike, about 2 months.
Last night i came home running the hi beams. I got on the bike this morning and the bike would not start. I found #5 fuse blown. The owners manual says that is for the lights, but I still had every light but the high beam. Why would my bike not start? Do any of you guys know what else this fuse protects?
Thanks for the help.

If you did the headlight mod then the #5 fuse only protects the high beam. The wire that was going to the european parking light, or whatever that is, is protected by the fuse for the power outlet etc. I've forgotten which fuse it is but it does change when you do the headlight mod.

But why would it not let the starter turn over? This is what's confusing me?
I could here the solenoid whine but nothing else?

Sorry, I misread your post. How bright are your headlights? Check your battery cables. Some have found the screws tight but not holding the cable tight. A washer under the screw will fix it. If that's ok then check the voltage at the starter and the ground going to the engine.

When the fuse is blown, only the low beam headlight works and it seems just as bright as normal. The high beam does not work neither will the starter turn> I can hear the sol whine a bit. Still can't find anything wrong!
