Author Message   Svh Posted on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 - 12:23 pm:        Picked up the June issue of Road Runner magazine and in it they have a "long" term test of XT. Guy had one for a few weeks and seemed to really like it. They had already given it praise last year when they first tested it. Same old complaints like the fan, steering lock, rear brake and too high of first gear but even still the author heaped on the praise and even says it is a steal at $12995. All of those small "bad" items are fixable really with the exception of the fan but the fan doesn't bother me. A short explaination and most people think it is a genius idea(it really is). I don't need some scribe telling me my bike is good because I know that already but it is GREAT to see an air cooled Buell getting good praise in a magazine for touring. My Uly has excellent steering lock. I'm glad they liked it, but really, long term? The other thing I noticed, was that I only saw one picture of the actual test bike (black). Oh well, sometimes their reviews are brilliant, and sometimes not so much.
