So I was just trying to get back-up linkage parts, and some reasonable pegs. I ordered them from Precision Engineering since they looked well made and the linkage is cheaper than OEM, and you'll recommended them.

So that is what I got. Looks great, and it is much more solid shifting. So what is the problem? It is shown here:




The OEM brake lever, and the passenger pegs now look like junk in comparison. I tell you it is a plot to make me change out all my OEM parts for Precision Engineering parts. These are really high quality, high value parts.

No question they make nice stuff. Hopefully they'll keep expanding their offerings!

It is nice stuff. I recently got the 1" risers. Priced out the shift lever, pegs and brake lever last night. Do I really need that stuff? No, but...

I was pleased with the parts I ordered from them, but a little irritated at the "Signature required" shipping option.

I got the 1" pegs and 1" bar riser. What a difference both make. Just perfect. But, yeah, now I have to get the passenger pegs to match.

Its a novel scheme. Make parts that are too good so you have to keep coming back for more.

How do you find the ergonomics of their shifter / brake levers? The stock ones have slight bends to them I am assuming for a reason.

The pegs are alot bigger than stock. 2"x4" is a huge peg. I can see the benefit off road, but how do they feel for normal every day driving?

I am also considering the 2" drop pegs for the passenger. I think it would make her ride more comfortable. Any thoughts?

The shifter I find better. With the stock shifter, I was continually trying to shift from the top of the shifter, rather than the rubber peg. The brake, well without adjusting the shift linkage, it sits a little lower, other than that, it just has more traction, so my foot is far less likely to slide off. The business end (toe peg) of both seems laterally to be the in the same place.

We put a set of the Uly pegs on my wife's Lightning Long, and she flat loves them.
So far, I've bought the GenII Shifter and Brake Pedal, the Shift Pivot, 1" risers and Brake Line Clamp for my XT. My wife has the Uly Rider Pegs and a Brake Line Clamp. Everything is first class.
Just a FYI; It costs $12.00 to ship a small package from Montana to Massachusetts by UPS, and it takes eight days to get here. The same size package, sent USPS Priority Mail costs $4.85 and it takes two days. If you ask, Precision will take the trouble to go to the Post Office and you get it faster, for less than half the shipping charges.
As far as I'm concerned, their Customer Service is everything you could ask for. Now, all I have to do is get a shifter, pivot, brake pedal and risers for Terri, and Uly pegs for me. $$$$$

Like Thetable the shifter fits me better than stock but the brake lever is lower. I haven't taken the time to adjust it yet but I may go do that. I like them plus they look great. I have the Gen 2 shifter and brake, shift pivot, and the brakeline clamp. Risers are next on my list.

Was going to get a pair of each and swap them back and forth between the rider and passenger locations to see who likes which better, me or her. But now all they have are the stock 1" drops with the teeth.

I find the shifter a big improvement. I didn't expect this but the whole linkage feels much more positive. The pegs are what I really needed, since I did not like to have my boots wander around. The Precision ones works great for me. I do not have the brake lever, yet $$$.
