I bet that got your attention. It was just a close call and got me thinking and laughing at what could have happened. I was just out for a short trip to check all systems on the uly(first time above 40 since oct)but the 3 miles of gravel road to the highway was muddy so my eyes were down looking for more mud. Snowmobile crossed the road at about 40, don't think he even saw me. Anyone else ride the uly in mud? I slow till it gets really slick but then put my feet down and do the duck paddle. I can ride now with the dirt bike, WR500 yamaha, but I would rather be on the uly. If u do mud ride what tires and tricks do u use? I'm tired of winter and I gotta ride! | ||

I've also got an '06, with the stock D616s. They've done all that I've asked so far - mud, wet grass, wet leaves, singletrack....stuff that a smart person would go home and get a dirtbike for, lol. I'm not breaking any landspeed records, but I'm also not detouring or pushing the bike in/out of the remote areas. One thing I am considering, though, is the 9 primary conversion for a little better control at walking speeds. | ||

Scorps for moderate hard pack MT-60s for slightly chunkier stuff TKC-80s for the thicker gloppier ploppier muck Avon Super Moto Rain tires for dry sandy clay pack And Avon Distinzas only if you dont plan on going 45-53 mph on shale, slate, pea gravel. the nine primary helps, just drop it in second gear and leave it, power on through it. The sidebags hold an entrenching tool and some scraps of 1x6 to plank out if it gets too much. | ||

I keep seeing people talk about the MT-60! But, how can you feel safe running a 160/60 on a 180 rim? |
