I am thinking about the HID upgrade for my 06 Ully and I know there is a lot of info on here about installs and different kits. I was thinking about wiring a delay timer relay in the circuit to and was wondering if anyone knows was the amperage draw through the circuit is. I am looking at wiring it into the power feed circuit from the battery. | ||

Through the relay timer? Very little current, maybe 1/2 of an amp at the high end. Through the HID? That can be quite a surge on startup, I think newer HIDS are better, but I have seen values like 17 amps thrown around. I've got the technology (muhahaha) to make a much neater relay delay if there was a need for it... something programmable. But the old analog circuit I posted before is still working fine on my bike. | ||

+1 on Reeps circuit. I modified his design a little bit because I don't care about delay when warmed up. Mine is one resister, one capacitor and one transistor. Gives me a 20 second delay before the Light ignites. It is stupid simple and works fantastic. | ||
