Were can I get these bolts and washers?
I lost one on my 1st trip out with the bike.
It's time to check the torque on the all the bolts, I guess.

BTW I really like my new bike.

they have almost identical bolts at my local hardware store.

shouldn't be too hard to get a close one.

I *think* they're just 10-24 thread, if you're talking about the six that hold the flyscreen to the gauge housing. I usually go to home depot with one of the others in-hand to compare threads, and get a handful. Like when I overtorqued and broke the head off one of my saddlebag support bolts, and decided to replace the flange-head bolts with grade 8 bolts (since I was replacing one anyway, might as well upgrade). Measured lengths, took one of the un-broken ones in, and got a handful of little plastic baggies filled with bolts : ) Total cost, about $3.75.

If warranty will replace one for you, say thank you : ) You can get the thread and pitch at any store, but I haven't been able to find a cosmetic match to the head style and color anywhere.

Yeah I know I can get any type of bolt I need but I need the specific washer for the windshield. I think it's a plastic or rubber washer that is concave to accept a flat head bolt. I would like to find the correct type washer so I won't foul up the windshield.

I found why the bolt came out of my wind screen. The rubber grommet with the threads in it is bad. The threaded part of the grommet came loose from the rubber, so it would not tighten up. Lowes, I think has the rubber grommet(I think it's the same threads as the bolt 6 x1.0mm) but I can't find the washer.

This is a recalled item I believe and should be replaced at your dealer. Mine fell out after about 600 mi and I bought the replacement "kit" for about $21 IIRC. About two weeks later I read about a recall for the tall windscreen mounting bolts.

The new system did away with the nut-imbedded in rubber grommet setup for separate grommet and nylok nut that must be installed with the flyscreen removed. Good part is you will not lose a bolt again, bad part is you will need to remove the flyscreen to install/remove the windshield every time.

For the rubber washers I just use black rubber faucet washers. The ones with 1/4 on them. They are the washers that you replace when the old style faucets start leaking. http://www.hammerzone.com/archives/plumbing/faucet /washer/replace.htm
You get a bunch of them for a buck at your hardware store.
