Rotorhead, I am glad you can use the idea. There was another way to do it using the same holes from the turn signals except you would make two metal brackets bending the opposite way. This will allow you to use the mounting tabs on the tube. I thought about doing that for a while but I felt this was a more secure way to do it. I could be wrong.

Next is the tail light addition below the license plate. I really don't like how the top bag covers the visibility of the stock brake light. Of course i probably never would have never noticed it until Court mentioned it to me.

I have a measly 675 miles on the bike. I have more hours adding stuff to it than riding it.

Frank - if it were me, I'd mount the aux brakelight to the back/bottom of the top case, with a weathertight plug on it. Case on, plug in, have light. Case off, unplug, stock light works fine.

I'm trying to figure how to light up the "light" in the original top case I have on mine...LED is the way to go, just trying to figure out mounting / light pattern options.

Joe, I thought about something similar and I think velcro or something to stick to the bag would work. I am not going to drill into the bags, I just don't want to do anything that might compromise the integrity of the bag or make it leak. I am sure the bottom mounted light will give me enough visibility and I will not have to disconnect it or connect with the removal or addition of the bags.

I did see a neat light strip that mounts to the bottom of the license plate on a scooter at work last week. Since I already ordered the light I will go ahead and mount to the bottom of the license plate.

I need to go ride. It is 55 degrees right now.. Later, Frank

Frank - Don't know if you've done this yet, or care to, but paint thinner or something similar will strip the yellow markings from the tube.

I used brake cleaner to take it off mine. Worked like a charm!

Tginnh and Sean, thanks. I did not think about doing that until I was at work today and someone was asking about it.

You guys just don't get it . . . you don't REMOVE the writing . . . you (I'm a writer) EDIT IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

I am changing mine to read:

PRIOR TO ARMING:
  • Ignition set to "ON"
  • Remove Cover
  • Personnel Clear for 25 Meter Radius
  • Switch to "Launch"
