Hello Guys and Gals,

A friend has not a uly, but he had a front end crash the dealer over here quotes him way over 300$ for each slider (Spanish dealers are rip offs) so I tried phoning a few dealers, with no luck finding the part all told me back order until 6th march, so i'm here to see if any one has the chance or comes upon a dealer that may have the part: J8142.1AS

I know i'm asking to much, but as each one of us after a crash, and fast recovery we can't be still and want to be able to ride, specially this case as he had done just 200 miles on the bike and a bit of gravel on a bend took him off.

Thank you,

Miguel.

Miguel,

Look at one of the dealers that offer mail order services. Like Surdyke.com, they show the part as available, as a left hand slider for $132.00. Plus whatever shipping would be and you are set to go. List price is $165.00.I have had excellent service from them on lots of items.

Miguel,

For follow-up, I ordered a pair of Male Sliders and the matching Fork Tubes for my '08 Uly a few months ago from Surdyke H.D. for anodizing and DLC coating. All parts came promptly and well packaged.

surdyke just shows that the part is in the system, no indication if in stock. same as if you go to CHD, they show it in the system, but no indication of stock, you have to call to check stock! hdnet shows nobody but NC having one, but they don't, as i said above. someone may have one in stock, only if it isn't in the system, then they don't even know they have it!

Surdyde warehouse transfers from the Factory as well as from in house stock. On several of my personal orders thru them that was the case. If an item shows "in the system" that means that it is available for shipment from somewhere at order time. If you punch in an unavailable part number the price comes up $0.00, indicating not available. When ordering you are advised, with constant updates, the status of your parts availability, when your order shipped, where it shipped from, and when you should receive it. I have ordered and received multiple parts from them that did not originate from their "in house" inventory. I have had 16 orders with them and in all cases the parts made it to California in a week and a half tops. Most of the time by the following week of ordering. On my fork tube purchase one male slider and one outer tube came from "in stock" the other two were "warehouse transferred" I received all parts in 9 days with std shipping. But ,hey.... just call em up, or anyone that you decide to order from and ask for availability. And even if they are subject to a back-order, If you need them, you have to order them somewhere and $132.00 is better than $300.00. Just my $.02

Would these do the trick? $50 each, will ship to Europe.

Can't say with certainty they have them in stock, but that is why God created email...

Apologies- wrong part. Once again, I don't know what I'm talking about.
