Author Message   818guy Posted on Friday, February 13, 2009 - 10:22 am:        I wanted to know if a stock "XB12" exhaust is the same as a Ulysses (XT) exhaust regarding fitment? Additionally, does anyone know if the Buell Race exhaust for the XB12 will fit on a 2008 XT? Thanks for any info.   Froggy Posted on Friday, February 13, 2009 - 10:52 am:        They will fit fine, the Uly pipes have a different outlet and are a little longer for kickstand clearance. The X has an issue with the racepipe and the kickstand that can be worked around, I don't know if the XT has the same issue.   818guy Posted on Friday, February 13, 2009 - 11:11 am:        Thanks Froggy but I have a follow-up rookie question from me. I'm not sure what you mean in your post. "Yes" they will fit, but with modification? You mention kickstand clearance. The reason for my question is two-fold: if I find a Race muffler, will it fit and two, will there be any issue with fitment if I purchase, for example, a Special OPS pipe (and I do not send my own pipe for conversion).   Froggy Posted on Friday, February 13, 2009 - 11:32 am:        If you go drummer/spec ops, it won't matter as they shorten the pipe to shorter than the normal XB pipe. As for the race pipe, I had one on my 06 X. I got a bigger version I can zoom in on, you can see the foot of the stand wants to be where the exhaust tip is. My dealer installed the pipe, I don't know what they did to make it work. Now again, the XT has a shorter stand according to what i have read here.
