I took the stock muffler off a few days ago. I Installed my MagnaFlow and it seemed a little too loud for the neighbor and cruising in the country, which I like to do in stealth mode, so I reinstalled the stock unit.

At any rate, the stock muffler is pretty rusted and I was wondering if it might be under warranty, and secondly, if it is, is there a customer relation dept. (or such) for warranty work, with which I need to be aware, before talking with my shop?

Thanks

BTW, I am selling the MagnaFlow exhaust here:

Seriously, if it's in warranty your dealer is the person you need to contact. They can check warranty status.

Thanks, Court.

I probably should just send this one out to get Jet Hot coated, and be done with it.

Yes the muffler is covered by warranty. Bring it in to your dealer, let them swap it, then take the fresh one and get that jet hotted / etc.

Unless there is something functionally wrong with the muffler, I'd just have it jet coated. I figure I'll just pull mine of and shoot it with high temp if it does that. On the Uly it's outta sight outta mind I guess.

If you need it replaced I doubt it's any big deal.

I liked the stock muffler but it was starting to get some rust and I had already purchased the race kit, so I decided to put it on at my 10,000 service. Yes it is a little loud but it's stainless steel and makes the bike look better.

If I had to do it again, I would get the stock muffler and header jet coated black and maybe have Olie rework the stock pipe with two outlets on the exhaust.
