Maybe its been posted before but I was always bummed out about how much space the Bank Angle Sensor took up under the tail section.

I was doing the backrest mod today that allows you to move the triple tail without using a key when I decided that the BAS need moved.....

I took a nice 2 hour ride around C-bus and had no problems with the triple tail flying off......
and the BAS worked just fine at its new home....

Interesting Idea.

I am wondering though..........if you could get the angle right..........and the wire long enough.........you could locate it low and central within your torso.........where it would be out of harms way.........and really only inches away from its original location..........but above the seat. It would only require a small hole in your riding suit and with a little lube could be inserted before a ride and plugged in as you got on the bike.

I mean..........what did it do? Take up too much trunk space? Before mine was moved I tried and couldn't find anything that I needed to carry that would fit in that space except for a small box of ammo that I really didn't need to carry.

Wholly air box - Batman!

I like to keep a set of tie down straps under the seat and the BAS was cramping my straps....

If I was going to use the BAS as you suggested It would need to have a alarm built into it.
If it would start to vibrate when the bike was being leaned over..... the further the lean the faster it would vibrate....

What do ya think?

Or, you could always turn the B.A.S. function off (at your own risk.)

I modified the tail BAS bracket to make enough room in the tail section for my Autocom system.

I would do that.... BUT the BAS Police would impound my bike if they got wind of it....

They read BadWeb ya know....

Some of my bikes have the BAS in tact, some not. The bike will run fine without it. On the bikes that I have kept it on, I mounted it left to right the same as it came from the factory. I suppose you could run the bike and trip it manualy to see if it works on two planes.

Vibrating alarm within the unit, that ain't right, can't you be satisfied that if you tip over the bike will quit running?
