Pages 64 through 74.

I test rode mine and left it that way for a long time. Have since made some small adjustments to the damping and rebound.

They are on the owners portion of the Buell website, but if you just needed to see the chart for a 2008 Ulysses...then here it is:

minimum is all the counterclockwise and maximum is all the way to the right.

If you read the headers, you'll see they say "turns IN" or "turns OUT" - that's what I usually go by, I'm pretty simple ; )

Think of it this way - there's a spring under the head of the screw. Tightening the adjuster screw compresses the spring, making 'more' (maximum) pressure. Loosening the adjuster makes 'less' (minimum) pressure.

Just a note, though - when you're adjusting and you either bottom (max) out, or top (min) out, do it LIGHTLY. As soon as you feel that screw stop moving, stop turning. There's a seat and shoulder in there, and you don't want to nick or scar them.

If your suspension was way off, you're going to notice a night and day difference once you set it up for yourself. If you get it set, and the bike is doing something you don't like, only make ONE change at a time while trying to get rid of it. If that doesn't do it, put it back where it was and try something else. Downloading the manual from buell.com will help immensely - there's a cause/effect page in there about bike characteristics (wallowing, chattering, etc) and how to dial them out with X adjustment.

That's funny Court. I actually thought about making some sort of play on words there, but I didn't know if anyone would get it.
