I'm very close to trading in my trusty 99 Cyclone on an 09 Uly at my local HD dealer. I want the factory side bags and mounting hardware, I'm not interested in the trunk. The salesman is telling me the bags are $1100. I thought the side bags and mounts were about $750 and all three were $1100. Can they order just the side bags and mounts, if so how much are they? (This is the salesman who when showing me the bike pointed at the oil cooler and said "water cooled". |

Some dealers are doing like 20%+ promos this time of year, can save ya nice chunk of change on whichever bag setup you want Also, put the Cyclone for sale here, you will make more off it than trade in. |

I just bought all of the hardware and brackets to mount side bags and a trunk to my 2009 Uly. I paid around $600 just for the mounts. |

Happytrails.com $750'ish, full Al panniers w/mounting kit. I have a set, extremely well made and very spacious. I would compare them to Zega's w/ out the cost(and stainless steel)I went w/ the Al panniers, cause of where and how i ride(I'm prone to the occasional dump off road) |

You can try to order a la carte from places like http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/dealer/WhereToB uy.cfm?q_manufacturer=HEPCO, but I've found that, after adding up the mounts, brackets and cases, you wind up back at around $1k for the Hepco Becker setup. If you wanna go cheap, Nelson-Rigg has got some good universal soft cases and supports them with a lifetime unconditional guarantee. |

Thanks for all the info! The deal they are offering me is the 2009 Uly at MSRP and they are throwing in the side bags, mounts and installation. They are giving me $2000 trade-in for my 1999 Cyclone with 40,000 miles on it. I'm OK with this. I doubt I could get much more selling it outright, plus going thru all the hassle. I do have some Cyclone stuff I'll be listing in the classified section shortly. To get the mounting hardware to mount H&B bags to a Buell you must go through Buell. Trust me I did quite a bit of research on the subject and this is what I was told by H&B themselves and by one of their dealers here. |
